Hailed as the first person to write about coming-of-age from the Chicano perspective, a journey captured in his 1972 book, "Bless Me, Ultima," Rudolfo Anaya, UNM professor emeritus of English, continues to write about his home state. He and wife Patricia paused to celebrate his donation of working manuscripts to the UNM General Library's Center for Southwest Research. The CSWR exhibit, "Escrituras y Homenaje: Rudolfo A. Anaya" displaying portins of the manuscrips runs through August. The entire collection, 13 boxes of materials, will be open to scholars in early fall. Photo by Karen Wentworth.
