Popejoy Hall offers half-price tickets for UNM employees
Half-price tickets to Popejoy Hall may be the most entertaining, though most misunderstood, employee benefit on campus. Discounted tickets to shows of international stature are within easy reach, but many employees mistake how the benefit works.
|The Broadway show “Cats” comes to Popejoy Hall June 10-12.
Popejoy offers half-price tickets only to those employees who subscribe and subscribing is as easy as choosing two shows for as little as $15.50. The Ovation Series in Popejoy Hall offers 38 shows for the 2004-05 season. Eligible faculty or staff may choose any two of 34 shows or the four-show Broadway package as a minimum order.
UNM subscription prices for individual shows start at $6 for the lowest-priced seats.
A Broadway package can be purchased for as little as $66. Shows for the coming season include “Cats,” “Porgy and Bess,” “Mamma Mia” and Bobby McFerrin.
The Ovation Series benefit is available to all UNM faculty and staff employed at 0.5 FTE or greater and is a taxable benefit. As with all good things, this offer does come to an end.
The deadline for half-price subscriptions is Sept. 10 at 5 p.m. To order, go to ovationseries.com, visit a UNM Ticket Office or call 277-3824 for a brochure.
