Email requires change Jan. 4

On Jan. 4, 2005, email sent using CIRT servers will require SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) authentication. This will require a small modification for all programs with the exception of Webmail.

CIRT recommends users make the modification before winter break.

Those who do not make the required change will be unable to send mail from UNM. Instructions for making this change are available at CIRT’s e-mail Web site, http://www.unm.edu/cirt/email
