Tamarind hosts
reception for Yugoslavian artists
Tamarind
Institute will host a public reception for six artists-in-residence
of the former Yugoslavia republics June 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. in
the gallery, 110 Cornell Dr. SE.
The group
will spend the month of June at Tamarind creating lithographs
and monotypes and participating in a UNM history course.

elects officers for 2002-03
The UNM
Staff Council elected officers for 2002-03.
They are:
Pat Kiska, president; Alan Morgan, president-elect; Bill Raynovich,
speaker; Bettie Kaehele, treasurer; Matt Elbrecht and Kari Ward
Karr, at-large grade representatives; Suzanne Kembel and Joe

Pepsi awarded
exclusive UNM beverage contract
UNM recently
announced that it awarded The Pepsi Bottling Group, Inc. (NYSE:
PBG) an exclusive beverage contract, continuing a partnership
that has existed for the past eight years.
A full
line-up of Pepsi-Cola beverages will be offered in vending machines,
through cafeteria services across the campus and at athletic
events.
Hispanics rank
UNM high
UNM ranks
among the top 100 colleges for Hispanics according to recent
rankings published in Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education.
UNM is ranked 15th on the list for conferring bachelors
degrees to Hispanics, 22nd for masters degrees and 14th
for Ph.Ds.
