UNM CLASSES RESUME FOR SPRING 2006

Painting Matters: Work by UNM Department of Art and Art History painting and drawing faculty will be shown Jan. 17 to April 9 at the University Art Museum in the new exhibit “Painting Matters.” Statements by the artists provide viewers with insight into each one's artistic process. Healthcare Public Comment Session: Members of the UNM Board of Regents will participate in the UNM Health Sciences Center Healthcare Public Comment session at the UNM Continuing Education Center located near University Blvd. and Indian School Road. This session will provide an opportunity for public comment in response to the discussion at the Governor's Health Care Summit held on Dec. 5, 2005. Jared Diamond, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of bestselling “Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies,” will be giving a talk on his newest book “Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed” at the Student Union Building Ballroom. This event kicks off the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science's 20th Anniversary Celebration weekend.
