UNM Bans Fireworks on University Property
University of New Mexico Acting President David W. Harris has banned fireworks on all university property. The ban goes into effect immediately and will remain in force until further notice.
The ban comes as a result of the severe drought conditions and the potential risk to life, property and the environment. It is suggested that the branches in Gallup , Los Alamos, Santa Fe , Taos and Valencia also adhere to the ban.
