UNM Engineering Professor To Be Honored
C. Jeffrey Brinker, University of New Mexico professor of chemical and nuclear engineering, will be honored during a special symposium at Rutgers University , Friday, March 3. The Rutgers Graduate School-New Brunswick and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering will present Brinker with the Alumnus Award for Distinguished Accomplishment and Service. Brinker has a dual appointment at UNM and is a senior scientist at Sandia National Laboratories.
The University of New Mexico is the state's largest university, serving more than 32,000 students. UNM is home to the state's only schools of law, medicine, pharmacy and architecture and operates New Mexico's only academic health center. UNM is noted for comprehensive undergraduate programs and research that benefits the state and the nation.
