UNM Alternative Transportation Fair Call for Entries

The University of New Mexico Department of Parking and Transportation Services is hosting an Alternative Transportation Fair on Monday, April 23, 2007, from 11:00am to 2:00pm. The fair will be located on the Cornell Mall in front of the Student Union Building.

This will be an opportunity for any groups and vendors interested in promoting alternative modes of transportation to provide information to students, faculty, and staff. For our purposes, “Alternative Transportation” covers everything from walking to public transit, biking, motor scooters and motorcycles, carpooling, vanpooling, skateboarding. Whether the reason is to cut commuter costs, concern over greenhouse gas emissions, or improved health, if your organization is interested in promoting anything other than single-occupancy vehicle commuting, we’d welcome your participation in this special Earth Day event.

For more information, please contact Cynthia Martin, Program Planning Manager at UNM Parking and Transportation Services, 277-1928, cmartin@parking.unm.edu.
