WHAT: Governor Bill Richardson will launch New Mexico’s leg of LambdaRail, the super high speed networking infrastructure that will support education, research, health care and economic development.

WHEN: Friday, January 19, 2007 at 11 a.m.

WHERE: ArtsLab in UNM’s High Performance Computing Center, 1601 Central Ave. NE (just west of northwest corner of University and Central)

WHO: Joining Governor Richardson will be members of New Mexico’s LambdaRail Board, including representatives from the state, UNM, New Mexico State University and New Mexico Tech. There will also be presentations on LambdaRail’s future impact on telehealth and rural New Mexico economic development.

The program will include a demonstration of LamdaRail speed and connectivity.

Parking spots for this event will be reserved in the “B” lot directly east of the High

Performance Computing Center.
