All UNM Researchers:

The University of New Mexico is now a partner in the Colorado Plateau Cooperative Ecosystems Studies Unit or CPCESU. Membership makes the contracting process with several federal agencies faster and more efficient, and the agreement serves in place of multiple cooperative agreements between UNM and various federal partner agencies (such as BOR, USGS BRD, Forest Service, BLM, NPS, and NRCS).

Under the new agreement, F&A costs to the agency are 17.5 percent. If you plan to contract with any of these agencies, route your proposals through UNM as usual, but note on the proposal the negotiated F&A rate and inform your contact at Sponsored Project Services that the contract should be processed via the CPCESU.

For more information on the CPCESU visit:

Federal partners and their representatives are listed at:

This should be a real positive arrangement for research faculty in many units across campus.
