NMSU Names Finalists for Arts & Sciences Dean

LAS CRUCES — New Mexico State University today announced five finalists for dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
   
They will be interviewed on campus April 7-11.
   
A committee chose the finalists in the search to succeed Waded Cruzado, who was appointed NMSU's executive vice president and provost late last year.
   
Finalists are Charles J. Brody, professor and chairman of the sociology department at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte; Pamela Elizabeth Jansma, professor and chairwoman of the department of geosciences at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville; Yolanda Flores Niemann, professor in the department of comparative ethnic studies and special assistant to the dean at Washington State University; Aldemaro Romero, chairman and professor in the department of biological sciences at Arkansas State University; and Jeffrey Scott Thompson, College of Science interim dean at the University of Nevada, Reno.
