By: Rachel HillStudent Aaron Anderson was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism, when he was 5.
"I suppose there was always the underlying sense that there seems to be something fundamentally different in me," Anderson said. "I always felt somewhat different from my peers."
Nicole Hudson, academic student success manager of Accessibility Services, said students with Asperger's tend to have above-average cognitive and verbal abilities but have impaired social skills.

With temperatures already soaring past 100 degrees Fahrenheit this spring, the climate change in Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula is another example of how global weather patterns are disrupting life around the world. The changes in the Yucatan mirror those felt in the Northern Hemisphere so that the peninsula is now facing similar environmental problems to those after a major hurricane.

Recycling programs in 75 and towns cities will get a boost this Earth Day with the addition of new recycling bins. The National Recycling Coalition and The Coca-Cola Company announced today the recipients of their Spring 2008 Recycling Bin Grant program. Chosen from 1,100 applications submitted, the 75 grant recipients represent a cross section of community groups, local governments, colleges and non profit organizations across the country. Grant recipients receive recycling bins from a preset list of options.
