NM ad agencies win National Healthcare Awards

Advertising programs created for several health organizations by Albuquerque firms 3 Advertising, Rick Johnson & Co. Inc. and Esparza Advertising have snagged 16 National Healthcare Awards.

The awards are sponsored by Healthcare Marketing Report. The competition received 4,400 entries, making it the largest healthcare advertising awards competition in the world, according to the publication.

3 Advertising won a gold award for best single print ad and silver for best print campaign for Cosmetic Dentistry of New Mexico. It took home silver awards for T-shirts it created for the Center for Prenatal Development in Albuquerque and for a logo for the Medical Error Reduction Program, medical software that helps physicians prevent errors. The Albuquerque agency also earned a merit award for a direct mail piece for PhDx Systems, which provides clinical data management systems.

Esparza Advertising won seven awards for its work for the Heart Hospital of New Mexico, as well as its ad campaigns for Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico and the San Juan Regional Medical Center. Esparza received four gold awards for its direct mail campaigns for Blue Cross and the Heart Hospital. It also won two gold awards for its total ad campaign and its television advertising campaign for the Heart Hospital.

Esparza won three silver awards for a newspaper single ad for the Heart Hospital and for radio advertising for the Heart Hospital and San Juan Regional Medical Center. And the firm won three bronze awards for its outdoor transit campaign for Blue Cross, and its newspaper and radio campaigns for the Heart Hospital.

Rick Johnson & Co. won a bronze award for its total advertising campaign for the University of New Mexico Cancer Center.
