9. NMSU regents should debate future of athletic spending (Las Cruces Sun News)

10. Sound Off! (Las Cruces Sun News)

NMSU needs to higher it's moral standards for who they accept and retain in sports.
•••
I work at NMSU, I'm well under 50 years of age, and I have been there a great amount of time longer than Michael Martin was. Everyone whose name was mentioned praising him in your article is a "yes" man to him. He was very autocratic, surrounded himself with people who would not oppose him and mean spirited if you challenged him.
•••
I am sick and tired of seeing a big picture of Michael Martin! If you are going to continue to give information about this jerk, you could at least put it on Page 5 where you have the Las Cruces news.
•••
Now, not only the main university is going on retreats, but the Doña Ana Branch is as well. I think this should be investigated.
•••
As a student that struggles to pay tuition and is now in debt because of student loans, I am appalled that they are using my hard earned tuition to go on luxurious retreats. I have friends in college that don't know how they are going to pay for groceries, and gas. We are barely getting by trying to afford our education, and instead of using this money to better our university they are going on vacations.
