Anderson School to accept GRE, online application
The University of New Mexico's Anderson School of Management has announced that, beginning with the spring 2009 semester, applicants for the MBA, Executive MBA or Master of Accounting programs will be able to apply using their score on the Graduate Record Examinations test, or GRE.
In previous semesters, prospective Anderson graduate students were required to take the Graduate Management Admission Test, or GMAT. Now both the GMAT and the GRE will be accepted. According to a news release, this aligns the school's practices with those of top business schools, including those at Stanford University, Johns Hopkins University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Anderson will offer GRE prep courses starting Sept. 10, with a registration deadline of Sept. 6. The best consideration date for students applying for admission to the spring semester is Nov. 1. More information can be found at mba.unm.edu.
Prospective MBA students will also now be able to apply to Anderson online for the first time. The Web application is located at https://online.mgt.unm.edu/mba.
