City and UNM to provide shuttles to UNM's Lobo football games
The city of Albuquerque and the University of New Mexico are teaming up to shuttle Lobo fans to and from home football games during the 2008 season.
UNM will set up special park-and-ride lots for fans to use the shuttle service. Bus riders will be dropped off at the front door of the stadium and UNM will work with city police to allow busses easy access in and out of the game, said Mayor Martin Chavez in a news release.
“We have a great relationship with UNM, and have worked with them on many projects in the past,” Chavez said. “This service allows for better access to the games, freeing up parking and reducing congestion on busy streets.”
The parking shuttle will be at Lot T at Lomas and University blvd. UNM will sell shuttle tickets for $3 per game, or $12 for a season pass.
