Sklar to Present 53rd Annual Research Lecture at UNM

Larry Sklar, University of New Mexico professor of pathology, presents “Team Science: Partnerships for Discovery and Innovation,” the topic of the 53rd Annual Research Lecture – the highest honor UNM bestows on its faculty members – Thursday, April 17 at 7 p.m. in the Domenici Center Auditorium at the UNM Health Sciences Center.

Sklar’s research interests include signal transduction, cell adhesion, leukocyte biology, high throughput technologies for molecular assembly and drug discovery. He received his Ph.D. in chemistry from Stanford University in 1976. He came to UNM in 1990 after a number of years in the Department of Immunology at Scripps. Among his many appointments, he has served as director of signal transduction and cell adhesion, associate director of basic research and director of biotechnology, all at the UNM Cancer Center. Currently he is director of the NIEHS Biotechnology Core and Biotechnology Integration at the UNM School of Medicine.
