Agora Crisis Center sets volunteer orientations
The Agora Crisis Center will hold its fall volunteer orientations Aug. 28-29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of Zimmerman Library. Students, faculty and staff are welcome to volunteer at the center, which provides free, confidential and anonymous listening, referrals and crisis intervention to anyone in need of emotional support. Reserve your University Day at the Fair booth
The deadline to register for a booth for University Day at the Fair is Wednesday, Aug. 22.
The event is set for Tuesday, Sept. 18 on Main Street.

Students help Honduran villagers plan water use
UNM students pursuing master's degrees in water resources recently traveled to the remote village of Miramar, Honduras, to help locals produce a sustainable water development plan.
The students were accompanied by UNM instructors Michael E. Campana and Michele Minnis.
Several Honduran villages remain in need and plans are underway for a 2002 summer endeavor.
Student center to hold UNM Health Fair Sept. 12
The Student Health Center will sponsor a UNM Health Fair Wednesday, Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the mall near Johnson Center.
Activities include a climbing wall, bicycle tuneups and HIV testing. Information will be provided on health clubs and various health topics such as skin safety, poison prevention, rape crisis, anger and stress management.
