UNM Health Sciences Center art collection grows thanks to donors

The UNM Hospital Gallery, and what has become the UNM Health Sciences Center Art Collection and Art Program, was established in 1991. The collection now numbers more than 500 pieces—almost all donations.

“Watch Us Grow! New Gifts,” an exhibition featuring some of the significant gifts that have recently been donated by Romona Scholder, Ray Graham and the Horwitch Family is on display through Feb. 26 at the gallery, located on ACC-5.

The wall and hall spaces of the UNM Health Sciences Center are extensive with plenty of room available for more art. Any donation that is accepted into the collection is tax deductible for the current retail value of the work.
