UNMs Legislative priorities on the web
A Legislative Priorities web page has been set up to allow web visitors to keep abreast of the Universitys funding requests for 2001-2002. Available from a link on the left side of the UNM home page (www.unm.edu), the link provides access to a bill tracker, projects in priority order, special project requests, capital outlay requests and more.
Web links provide government information
The Government Information Department of the UNM General Library provides links to commonly requested state and federal government information. Available from the Libraries link from the UNM home page, the library links users to current census information, current and archival records from the State Department, the Department of Energy Information Bridge full text and bibliographic records of DOE-sponsored report literature produced by the DOE and DOE contractor research and development community received and processed since Jan. 1996. Other links provide access to the Bureau of Land Management General Land Office Records and a Land Patent Search database.
Nominations sought for Outstanding Staff Awards
The Provosts Committee on Staff Assessment and Development seeks nominations
for the 2001 Outstanding Staff Awards. To nominate a permanent, current, non-faculty
staff member, complete the form and include a description of the nominees
job, service and initiative. A workgroup an office, department, division,
or section is also eligible.
Forms were sent out to all staff via campus mail last week and are due by Feb. 19. Send nominations to Provosts Staff Awards, School of Engineering, Farris Engineering Center 107, attention Diane Gwinn.
Career Development Award nominations due
The Career Development Award was established last year to recognize managers
and supervisors who have assisted their staff in implementing career development
opportunities through Job Enrichment, Career Ladders and Career Advancement.
Full and part time staff can nominate supervisors and managers who have been
in their position for a year and who have supervised the nominator for a year.
Nominations can be sent to the Staff Council Office, Hokona-Zuni, Room 311, by Friday, Feb. 2 at 5 p.m.
