Staff invited to attend UNM Volunteer Fair

Many UNM staff volunteer delivering meals, building homes and more.

The Provost’s Committee on Staff Assessment and Development will host the UNM Volunteer Fair Thursday, Oct. 11 to help the many more who would like to connect with organizations that make a difference.

Representatives from some 40 agencies will be on hand from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Dane Smith Hall. Green chile stew and beverages will be served.

The event is also to recognize staff who have volunteered time, money and expertise to make New Mexico a stronger, healthier state.

UNM-Los Alamos hosts scholarship fundraiser

UNM-Los Alamos will host its fourth annual “A Taste of Autumn” scholarship fundraiser and silent auction Oct. 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Balagna Winery in White Rock.

Fine wine, appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages will be served. International recording artist Angel Espinoza will perform. Guests can bid on art, jewelry, craft items, services and more.

Tickets are $15. The event is open to all ages.

Volunteers needed for library blood drive

Volunteers are needed to staff three campus sites during a blood drive scheduled for Monday and Tuesday Oct. 29-30.

STP reservations need reconfirmation

Due to a computer glitch at the UNM Science and Technology Park, any individual or group with meetings scheduled in the coming year in the park's executive conference room, rotunda or MTTC auditorium must call 272-7313 to reconfirm or reschedule the reservation.
