New Mexico Sentencing Commission hosts Town Hall meeting

The New Mexico Sentencing Commission will host a Town Hall Friday, Dec. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at New Mexico Highlands University, Las Vegas, New Mexico.

Topics include Juvenile Justice, the Adult System, New Mexico Corrections, County Jails, Probation & Parole and Sex Offenders.

Organizers of the town hall say they hope to educate the public on criminal and juvenile justice matters and get input and feedback from the public on criminal and juvenile issues.

The New Mexico Sentencing Commission provides information, analysis, recommendations and assistance from a coordinated cross agency perspective to the three branches of government and interested citizens to enable good policy decisions, and is housed under the auspices of the University of New Mexico.
