September 11, 2002 SPANISH ARCHITECT FEATURED IN UNM LECTURE SERIES The UNM School of Architecture and Planning John Gaw Meem Lecture Series
presents internationally known architect Miquel Adrià on Monday,
Sept. 16 at 5:30 p.m. in room 2018 in the Center for the Arts. Adrià will present, After Barragán: A Contemporary View
of Mexican Architecture. Adrià, a native of Barcelona, Spain, teaches
at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de México and is a co-founder
of the architecture office of Fabrica de Arquitectura in Mexico City.
He is the editor of the Mexican journal of architecture Arquine and is
also the author of "Mexico 90's: Contemporary Architecture."
The lecture is co-sponsored by the National Hispanic Cultural Center
of New Mexico and is also assisted by the Mexican consulate. This lecture and slide presentation is free and open to the public. # # # |
