GOERING RETURNS TO ANDERSON SCHOOLS AS CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Goering is familiar with the Anderson Schools where he taught Ethical,
Political and Social Environment of Management and Strategic Management
at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He also earned his MBA from
the Anderson Graduate School of Management in 1998. We are extremely pleased to have someone of Wynns caliber
joining the Anderson Schools of Management as development officer,
said Dean Howard Smith. He brings a wealth of experience to the
position having managed constituent relations at UNM Taos Campus and Bethel
College in Kansas in addition to other important leadership positions.
As one of our graduates, Wynn knows the Schools well and will be
able to effectively represent us in view of this knowledge. His affable
nature, humor and insights on business should help to build bridges to
alumni, businesses and other key stakeholders of the Anderson Schools. Ive worked and studied at a lot of institutions, Goering
said, When I was ready to invest in my own management education,
I chose Anderson because I thought it had something special to offer.
Now Im looking forward, in my new development role, to the opportunity
to articulate those special qualities to other potential investors in
Andersons future. In addition to his work at ASM, Goering has held several teaching positions
throughout his career including: visiting assistant professor of English
at the University of Chicago; lecturer in English at McPherson (Kan.)
College; and assistant professor of English at Bethel (Kan.) College. Prior to his appointment at UNM-Taos, Goering served as associate director
and director of development at St. Martins Hospitality Center in
Albuquerque. He was responsible for the Centers $300,000 annual
