URBAN AND ENVIRONMENTAL EXPERT TO PRESENT AT UNM

Andrew Hurley, associate professor of history at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, will present, "Using Public History to Stimulate Neighborhood Revitalization: The View From St. Louis," Thursday, Nov. 14 at 5:30 p.m. in Northrup Hall, Room 122, on the University of New Mexico campus.

Hurley is an expert on urban and environmental issues in post-World War II America. He is the author of "Environmental Inequalities: Class, Race, And Industrial Pollution In Gary, Indiana, 1945-1980)" and "Diners, Bowling Alleys, And Trailer Parks: Chasing The American Dream In Postwar Consumer Culture." He has also edited "Common Fields: An Environmental History Of St. Louis." Hurley received his doctorate from Northwestern University in 1988.
