December 17, 2002 KNME AND KUNM TO BE OFF-AIR BRIEFLY ON FRIDAY, DEC. 20 KNME-TV Channel 5 and KUNM 89.9 both have planned outages for Friday,
Dec. 20. KNME plans to upgrade electrical service inside the transmitter building
at Sandia Crest. The work is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 20 at 7 a.m. and
anticipated to last between one and three hours. Because there will be
no electricity in the building at that time, KNME will be completely off
the air for the duration of the work. KUNM 89.9 plans to perform an antenna inspection concurrent with the
electrical outage, contingent upon availability and weather conditions. The inspection is scheduled to begin at the time of the electrical outage and may take longer than the outage. KUNM would remain off-air until the inspection is complete. # # # |
