March 13, 2003 UNM Honors Top Ten Percent of New Mexico High School Juniors The University of New Mexico Alumni Association and Office of Outreach Services will host a “Star Scholar” reception honoring the top ten percent of Albuquerque and surrounding area high school juniors. The reception will be held on Monday, May 5 at 7 p.m. at UNM’s Popejoy Hall. UNM President F. Chris Garcia will be the guest speaker. Special guests from UNM will address students, parents, community leaders and friends at the receptions. The awarding of a certificate of recognition to each student will highlight the evening.
