List of UNM services, resources, activities, organizations that can provide support to the campus community

The University of New Mexico has a list of services, resources, activities and organization that can provide support in times of crisis.

  • Counseling and Therapy Services (CATS), Student Health Center (SHC), provides crisis counseling to UNM students on a priority basis. CATS also provides group debriefing to any campus group requesting such service. Call 277-4537.

  • Counseling, Assistance & Referral Service (CARS). The employee assistance program for faculty and staff. Provides individual and couple therapy/counseling, referral, mediation, team building, debriefing for employee groups, mindfulness-based stress reduction and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy. Call 272-6868.

  • UNM Women’s Resource Center, Room 1160 in Mesa Vista Hall, has a therapist who can provide crisis intervention. The Center offers numerous other services and assistance to UNM and Albuquerque women’s communities. Call 277-3716.

  • College of Education, Manzanita Counseling Center provides free counseling. Call the hotline to set up counseling appointments at 277-7311.

  • AGORA, a UNM student-run crisis center. Call 277-3013.

  • Student Activities Center, 277-4706.

  • International Programs, 277-4032.
