May 2, 2003 FINALISTS FOR UNM DEAN OF CONTINUING EDUCATION TO VISIT CAMPUS Open forums for the three candidates who have been identified as finalists
for the position of University of New Mexico Dean of Continuing Education
have been scheduled. The three candidates and the dates of their open forums are: --Monday, May 5, Dr. Rita Martinez-Purson, former Interim President
and recent past Dean of Continuing Education and Workforce Development,
Santa Fe Community College, will visit UNM. --Wednesday, May 7, Dr. Donald W. Swoboda, recent past Dean of Division
of Continuing Studies and Professor, Teachers College, University of
Nebraska, Lincoln. --Monday, May 12, Dr. Patricia A. Book, Current Associate Vice President
for Outreach and Executive Director, Division of Continuing Education,
Outreach and Cooperative Extension, Penn State University. On the day of their respective visit, each of the three will participate in an open forum for all UNM faculty and staff from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. in room 136, Dane Smith Hall. Additionally, each will also participate in an open forum for community members from 6 to 7 p.m. in room C, UNM Continuing Education Conference Center, 1634 University Blvd. NE. # # #
