Annual Festival Flamenco Internacional: Featuring some of the finest flamenco artists in the world who will both perform and teach workshops for both children and adults.
June 1: “Son Y Soniquete,” an evening of “Rumba Flamenca,” a fiery mix of Salsa and Flamenco,
7 p.m., National Hispanic Cultural Center.
June 5 & 6: “Yjastros,” featuring Joaquin Encinias and the new works of Juana Amaya and Israel Galvan, 8 p.m., Rodey Theatre.
June 7 & 8: “Damas Flamenco,” featuring Mercedes Amaya and her company from Mexico City, 8 p.m. on June 7 and 2 p.m. on June 8, Rodey Theatre.
June 8: “Flamenco Expo,” judged by guest artists from the Festival, 7 p.m., Rodey Theatre.
June 12 - 14: “Fiesta Flamenca,” the grand finale blockbuster performance featuring Joaquin Grilo, Rosario Toledo, Mercedes Ruiz, Joaquin Encinias, Marisol Encinias, El Veneno, Jose Fernandez, Vero “la India,” Chuscales, Francisco Javier Orozco, “YiYi,” Eduardo Trassierra, Rocio Brazan, “Yjastros,” and many more, 8 p.m. Rodey Theatre.
