UNM HUMAN RESOURCES SERVICE CENTER OPENS SEPT. 2

The University of New Mexico Department of Human Resources will open a new Human Resources Service Center Sept. 2 in the recently renovated Lobo Center, located on the southeast corner of Lomas and University boulevards.

The Service Center is intended to be a convenient, one-stop shop for all Human Resource needs for applicants, retirees and current UNM employees, said Susan Carkeek, UNM associate vice president/director of Human Resources.

The Human Resources Service Center has extended business hours and will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. weekdays. Staff will be available to provide one-on-one assistance with eJOBS, the University's new on-line application program. In addition to applicant services, the Service Center is designed to meet all the human resources needs of current University employees and retirees. The center's staff can provide general advice and assistance on many human resources-related topics such as employment, benefits, compensation, retirement and career development.

The center is designed to family-friendly and will provide a separate play area for small children. Bilingual staff will also staff the center to assist Spanish-speaking visitors. Free parking will be available.

The new phone number for Human Resources is 277-MYHR or 277-6947.
