August 27, 2003 UNM NOTED "BEST VALUE" SCHOOL IN COLLEGE GUIDE The University of New Mexico is recognized in Kaplan Publishing's, "The Unofficial, Unbiased Guide to the 328 Most Interesting Colleges, 2004 Edition." UNM is noted as a school offering "the best value for your tuition dollar." The guide is the result of a national survey of high school guidance counselors conducted by Market Measurement. The survey was of a random sample of U.S. public, private and Catholic high schools and conducted via telephone interviews. UNM is featured in a detailed two-page profile in the book, featuring both institutional data and a description of student life - inside and outside the classroom. The guide reports, "UNM has an exciting diversity of cultures, and a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. Nontraditional students can really find a home here." # # #
