Uranium Mining on Navajo Reservation lecture to be held at UNM School of Law

A free lecture titled, "Uranium Mining on the Navajo Reservation: Past, Present, and Future," hosted by the UNM Native American Law Student Association and the UNM Environmental Law Society, will be held on Thursday, Sept.18 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the UNM School of Law, room 2405.

The topics for this lecture will be, "Legacy of Uranium Mining on the Reservation," "Current Battles to Keep Mining off the Reservation," and finally the "Future of Uranium Mining on the Reservation."
Speakers will include Wynoma Foster of the Eastern Navajo Dine Against Uranium Mining (ENDAUM), and Eric Jantz from the New Mexico Environmental Law Center. Also speaking will be physician John Fogerty from Crownpoint Indian Health Services.
