UNM HOMECOMING 2003 CELEBRATES CARNIVAL ON THE RIO
(Festivities take place September 29 - October 4)

What: UNM Homecoming 2003 - Carnival on the Rio

When: September 29 through October 4

Details:

Tuesday, Sept. 30 - Students create chalk murals at the UNM Bookstore Homecoming.

Thursday, Oct. 2 - "The Lobo Howl," along with other games that are part of the Cherry/Silver Spirit Cup competition at the Duck Pond.

Friday, Oct. 3 - All Sports Pep Rally - 12 to 1 p.m. at the Duck Pond - unveiling of the 2002 Homecoming Court occurs.

Friday, Oct. 3 - Mardi Gras Carnival - 8 to 11 p.m., at the Southwest Fiesta Tent in the northeast corner of University Stadium. All alumni and students are invited to participate in the Carnival fun.

Saturday, Oct. 4 - All-University Breakfast, UNM Alumni Lettermen's Tailgate Party and Southwest Carnival. Southwest Carnival starts at 3 p.m. and is open to the public. Tickets are $7 per person. Tickets can be purchased for the Southwest Carnival by calling 277-5805 or online at: www.unmalumni.com.

Saturday, Oct. 4 - UNM Lobos vs. Utah State, 6 p.m., University Stadium.
