December 4, 2003 UNM SCHOOL OF LAW TO HOST DEATH PENALTY DISCUSSION The University of New Mexico School of Law will host a presentation
and discussion about the death penalty on Friday, Dec. 5 from 2 p.m. to
4 p.m. The discussion, titled "The Death Penalty: Indian Tribes Opting
In?" will include panelists Stephan Bright, director of Southern
Center for Human Rights (SCHR), Tova Indritz, Criminal Defense Attorney
and former Federal Public Defender, and Chief Justice Robert Yazzie (Ret.),
Navajo Nation Supreme Court. UNM'S John Lavelle, professor of law, will
