Easier On-Line Searches at University Libraries

University Libraries has moved to a new text finder for on-line searches that is expected it make it easier to find information and articles. The new Gold Rush software has full text electronic access to the thousands of journals available through University Libraries.

The Article Finder feature within Gold Rush allows the user to put the information from a citation into the system and increasingly get a link directly to the article. This feature will improve as more content providers embrace OpenURL linking technology.

The “Go To” feature allows the user to easily reuse the search entered into Gold Rush in LIBROS, the Health Sciences Library, Informatics Center catalog and other listed library catalogs. The Gold Rush software also allows us to provide better access to the growing number of open-access scholarly electronic resources that are available.
