ANDERSON SCHOOLS FACULTY MEMBER NAMED EDITOR OF PRESTIGIOUS JOURNAL
Jeanne Logsdon, a professor in the department of Organizational Studies at
The Anderson Schools of Management at UNM, was recently named editor of the
publication Business and Society.
Logsdon, who has previously served as associate editor from 1997-2000, was
selected as editor for 2001-2004. The journal is sponsored by the International
Association for Business and Society, a professional scholarly organization,
and publishes original research related to business ethics, business-government
relations, corporate governance, corporate social performance and environmental-management
issues.
Our collective future depends on corporate social responsibility and
ethical decision-making, said Logsdon. My hope is that the high-quality
research published by this journal will benefit companies and their managers,
employees, neighbors, communities and everyone affected by company actions.
Logsdon, a University of California-Berkeley Ph.D., has been at UNM since 1989 and was named a full professor in 1998. Her areas of research and teaching interest include corporate social performance, stakeholder theory, business citizenship, corporate reputation, business ethics, environmental problems and remedies, collaboration between the private and public sectors, and corporate responses to regulation. Logsdon also serves on the Environmental Management Advisory Committee at the U.S. Department of Energy.
