The individual selected will succeed Wynn Goering, who has served as interim executive director since December 2000.

Florez said search committee members include Bobby Duran and Michael Torres, who are both members of the Taos School Board and community representatives. Representing Taos High School is Assistant Principal Sue Martin. Representing UNM-Taos are Dennis Cruz, Business Operations staff member; Walter Herrera, Staff Council; Gladys Kozoll, undergraduate student; Rob Lipson, Faculty Executive Committee president; Mary Lutz, Extended University, Manager of Enrollment Services; Margaret Mactavish, faculty member in the Early Childhood Department; David Rael, faculty member in the Mathematics Department; and, Paula Valentine, Student Council. John Schatzberg, professor in the Anderson Schools of Management, will represent UNM's main campus.

Florez said the committee will meet in early March to begin the search process "and will meet regularly until the process closes with the selection of a successful candidate."

Wynn Goering has served as interim Executive Director since December 2000.
