UNM hosts Regional Science and Engineering Fair March 14-16

The 43rd Annual Northwestern New Mexico Regional Science and Engineering Fair will be held on Thursday-Saturday, March 14-16, at the University of New Mexico in Johnson Center.

Nearly 800 middle and high school students will exhibit their science fair projects and compete for prizes and scholarships.

Two public open houses will be held Friday, March 15 from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, March 16 from 1-2:30 p.m.

Randi Buck, fair coordinator, said she encourages everyone to observe the positive side of New Mexico youth.

A paper competition will be held on Thursday, March 14 and tours of UNM School of Engineering will take place on March 15 from 8:15 to 9:30 a.m.
