The Anderson Schools’ Accounting Department Seeks Input From New Mexico Accounting Community

The Accounting Department at The Anderson Schools of Management (ASM) and the New Mexico Society of CPAs are holding a series of town hall meetings to solicit input from accounting professionals throughout the state. The meetings will be used to plan upcoming changes in the MBA accounting curriculum and master of accounting curriculum at the ASM to take effect in the fall of 2003.

“If there’s one thing we hear from almost all members, it’s the shortage of trained personnel to meet their business needs,” said James Hamill, an accounting professor at The Schools. “These curriculum changes will have a long-term impact on both the availability and the skills of future entrants into the profession.”
