The Anderson Schools Accounting Department Seeks Input From New Mexico Accounting Community
The Accounting Department at The Anderson Schools of Management (ASM) and
the New Mexico Society of CPAs are holding a series of town hall meetings to
solicit input from accounting professionals throughout the state. The meetings
will be used to plan upcoming changes in the MBA accounting curriculum and master
of accounting curriculum at the ASM to take effect in the fall of 2003.
If theres one thing we hear from almost all members, its
the shortage of trained personnel to meet their business needs, said James
Hamill, an accounting professor at The Schools. These curriculum changes
will have a long-term impact on both the availability and the skills of future
entrants into the profession.
The town hall meetings are open to members of the state CPA societies and professionals
in their firms. The meetings will take place on the following dates and locations:
Monday, Jan. 21
