ANDERSON SCHOOLS ANNOUNCES FINANCIAL INVESTIGATIONS CERTIFICATE
The Management Development Center at UNMs Anderson Schools of Management
will offer a Financial Investigations Certificate Program beginning in late-February.
The 12-week course is designed for anyone interested in learning more about
conducting effective and thorough financial investigations. The course provides
content beneficial to law enforcement investigators and prosecutors, accountants
and financial analysts since many crimes committed in America are motivated
by money.
Participants will be introduced to current techniques and perspectives dominant
in the field of financial investigations. Topics include: evidence, sources
of information, banking and financial record keeping, methods of tracing funds,
interviewing and investigative techniques and money laundering as they apply
to detecting and solving crimes. Primary emphasis will be placed on the principles
and applications of financial investigative techniques.
The Financial Investigations Certificate Program will be held on Thursdays beginning February 28 and continuing through May 16 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the State Bar of New Mexico building located in the Journal Center. The registration fee of $745 includes all books and course materials. Seating is limited and registrations are now being accepted. The noncredit certificate program provides the opportunity for personal and professional development without being formally admitted or enrolled in the University.
