LOGSDON TO BE HONORED BY UNM LIBRARIES FOR ACADEMIC PRODUCTIVITY
Professor Jeanne Logsdon of The Anderson Schools has been chosen for the UNM
Librarys Faculty Acknowledgement Program for 2001-02. The award recognizes
faculty members from across the campus that excel in academic productivity.
The ceremony honoring Logsdon will be held from 3-4 p.m. on Thursday, Jan.
24 in the Willard Reading Room of Zimmerman Library. During the ceremony, Logsdon
will give a brief presentation titled Global Business Citizenship: A concept
for the 21st Century.
Logsdon has been at The Anderson Schools since 1989 and was named a full professor
in 1998. She is the editor of Business & Society, an academic journal that
focuses on business ethics, business-government relations, corporate governance,
corporate social performance and environmental-management issues. Logsdon also
serves on the Environmental Management Advisory Committee of the U.S. Department
of Energy.
Logsdons personal areas of research and teaching include corporate social
performance, stakeholder theory, business citizenship, corporate reputation,
business ethics, environmental problems and remedies, collaboration between
the public and private sectors and corporate responses to regulation.
Other Anderson Schools faculty members who have been honored in the past include Richard Reid, Allen Parkman, Dwight Grant and Jess Dillard.
