ANDERSON SCHOOLS ANNOUNCE UPDATED HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

The Management Development Center at UNM’s Anderson Schools of Management is offering the updated Human Resource Management Certificate Program this spring featuring the new 2002 Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Learning Systems. The 12-week course is offered in cooperation with SHRM as study material for the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification examinations administered by HRCI. The program is also designed for anyone interested in learning more about the key areas of human resource management.

This noncredit certificate program provides the opportunity for personal and professional development without being formally admitted or enrolled in the University. The Human Resource Management Certificate Program will be held on Wednesday or Thursday evenings, Feb. 27 through May 16 from 6 to 9 p.m. Seating is limited and registrations are now being taken.

Participants will be introduced to current issues and topics dominant in the field of human resources. The concepts of strategic management, human resource development, workforce planning and employment, compensation, benefits, employee and labor relations, and occupational health, safety and security will be discussed. For a free brochure or to register, call (505) 277-2525.
