UNM student receives honorable mention for outstanding undergraduate award

Recent University of New Mexico graduate Christopher Wilson has been selected for honorable mention in the Computing Research Association’s (CRA) Outstanding Undergraduate Award for 2002.

CRA is an association of more than 190 North American academic departments of computer science, computer engineering, and related fields; laboratories and centers in industry, government and academia engaging in basic computing research and affiliated professional societies.

CRA’s mission is to strengthen research and education in the computing fields, expand opportunities for women and minorities, and improve public and policymaker understanding of the importance of computing and computing research in our society.

Wilson received his bachelor’s degree in computer science Dec. 15, 2001. He graduated with a 4.103 GPA and was a recipient of the Fall 2001 Breece Prize for undergraduate students with the highest GPA in the School of Engineering.
He is the son of Richard and Christina Wilson and a graduate of Sandia High School.
