July 15, 2002 CORRECTED RELEASE Professor awaits Fulbright notification A February 26, 2002 UNM press release erroneously announced that Miguel Gandert, associate professor, Communications and Journalism, had received a Fulbright grant. Under the 2003-04 Fulbright scholar competition which is currently underway, Gandert is applying for Fulbright funding to conduct a three-year project in Bolivia to photograph feast day celebrations of the Indo-Hispano people in rural and urban areas of the country. Gandert, whose first Bolivian photography exhibition opened in May at the Museum of Ethnography and Folklore in LA Paz, Bolivia, should receive notification on the Fulbright by early next year.
