June 6, 2002 DIPAOLO RECEIVES MYLAN PHARMACEUTICAL AWARD Angela DiPaolo of Gallup, NM recently completed the University of New Mexico Doctor of Pharmacy degree program. Upon completion, DiPaolo was presented with the Mylan Pharmaceutical award for superior drug information. Mylan Pharmaceutical is the generic division of Mylan Laboratories Inc. They offer 118 prescription products, covering 35 therapeutic categories and sell to pharmaceutical wholesalers, distributors and drug store chains. Every year, Mylan Pharmaceuticals presents students across the nation with the Mylan excellence in pharmacy award. Each school/college of pharmacy selects one student that best fulfills the selection criteria. To be considered, a student must be in the top 25 percent of his/her class academically, must show high professional motivation and the intent to practice upon graduation, and must show superior knowledge of drug information. This year UNM has chosen DiPaolo as the recipient. DiPaolo will soon take her knowledge of pharmaceuticals to the state of Texas, as she has accepted a job as Doctor of Pharmacy in San Antonio, Texas. # # #
