March 28, 2002 FORMER UNM ARCHITECTURE DEAN TO SPEAK The UNM School of Architecture and Planning offers, "Jerusalem Architecture
Old and New," a lecture and slide presentation by Professor Emeritus
George Anselevicius, FAIA, on Monday, April 1 at 5:30 p.m. in Northrup
Hall 122 on the UNM campus. Anselevicius served as dean of the UNM School of Architecture and Planning
from 1981-1993, chairman of Architecture at the State University of New
York at Buffalo, chairman of Architecture at the Harvard Graduate School
of Design and dean of the School of Architecture at Washington University
in St. Louis. An Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) Distinguished
Professor, he currently teaches architecture studio courses at UNM and
has lectured in India, Israel, Switzerland and Mexico. Anselevicius has
received numerous awards for design excellence for projects completed
through his practice in St. Louis. The event, sponsored by the John Gaw Meem endowment, is free and open to the public. Call 277-2879 for information. # # # |
