Monday, Nov. 12
The Irish Renaissance Speaker Series: “The Irish Renaissance and African-American Writers,” by Tracy Mishkin, Georgia State University, followed by a reception and music by Celtic harper, Michele Buchanan, 7 p.m., Anthropology Lecture Room 163, 277- 2415.

Wednesday, Nov. 14
Diabetes Awareness Day: Screening, information and resources, sponsored by the Student Health Center, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., Duck Pond, 277-7947.

International Festival: “One World-Bring Us Together,” with food, music, dance and entertainment from many countries, sponsored by the Office of International Programs and Studies, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Auxiliary Gym, Johnson Center, 277-4032.

21st Century Speaker: Maya Angelou, poet and novelist of “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings,” “Wouldn’t Take Nothing For My Journey Now,” “The Heart of a Woman,” and many more, 7:30 p.m., Popejoy Hall.

Thursday, Nov. 15
Indian Bread Baking Demonstration and Sale: Fresh horno bread, Indian tacos, fry bread and more, 11 a.m. - 3p.m., Maxwell Museum, 277-5963.

International Day: International Day at UNM Honors College, 2-4 p.m., Honors College Building, 277-4211.

Sunday, Nov. 18
Turkey Trot: Recreational Services is hosting the 1 mile children’s race at 10 a.m. and the 3 mile adult race at 10:45 a.m., Johnson Center, 277-0178.
