UNM REGENTS TO MEET NOVEMBER 13

The University of New Mexico Board of Regents will conduct its next regular meeting Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001 at 1 p.m. in the Roberts Room, room 230, Scholes Hall.

Immediately following the open session, the Regents will meet in Executive Session to discuss the regular report on pending/threatened litigation pursuant to Section 10-15-1.H.(7) NMSA 1978.

In addition to public input regarding items on the agenda and the approval of the minutes of the Oct. 9, 2001 meeting, agenda items include the Administrative Report, comments from Regents' Advisors and Comments from the Regents.

Consent agenda items are the Regents' Medals/Awarding of Regents' Meritorious Service Medal to Dr. Janette Carter, posthumously, and Hank Trewhitt, and the Regents' Recognition Medal to Steve Wilkes, also posthumously, and Ed Romero.

The sole consent agenda item from the Regents' Finance and Facilities Committee is the Surplus Property Disposition List Dated Oct. 22, 2001. The sole consent agenda item from the Health Sciences Center Clinical Operations Board concerns Appointments to the UNM Health Sciences Center Medical Staff.

The sole information item from the Regents' Finance and Facilities Committee is the Endowment Investment Program for Fiscal Year 2000-01.

Discussion items for action from the Regents' Finance and Facilities Committee are Capital Project Approval for Law School Addition and Renovation/Phase II; Approval of Changes to Regents' Policy 2.11/Naming University Facilities, Spaces, Endowments and Programs; Approval to Exchange Winrock Property; Approval of Legislative Funding Requirements/Information Technology Fiscal Year 2002-03 for the Valencia Branch Campus; Approval to Enter Contract for PBX Maintenance for UNM Telecommunications; and Approval of Annual Audit for Fiscal Year 2000-01.

A copy of the agenda will be available for public review in the Public Affairs Dept., Second Floor, Hodgin Hall, and at the Zimmerman Library Reserve Desk no later than 24 hours prior to the respective meeting.

Individuals with disabilities in need of a reader, amplifier, qualified sign language interpreter or any other form of auxiliary aid or service to attend or participate in a Board of Regents meeting should contact the Public Affairs Dept. at least one week prior to the respective meeting. Public documents, including the agenda and minutes, can be provided in various accessible formats and individuals who need accessible formats also should contact the Public Affairs Dept.
