Three Special Programs Highlight ASMs Executive Speakers Series in November
The Robert O. Anderson School and Graduate Schools of Management (ASM) will
open its doors to the public on Tuesday, Nov. 6, as scientist turned entrepreneur
Dr. Roger Jones, CEO of Complexica, speaks on The History of Informatics
in Northern New Mexico. According to Jones, informatics in New Mexico
is less than a decade old, yet the companies here are generating significant
innovations in the marketplace. He will be speaking in ASMs Room 1017
from 6:30 7:30 p.m.
Later in the month The Anderson Schools of Management is bringing Rick Farrell
from the New Mexico Manufacturing Extension Partnership. Farrell will present
a talk on Lean Manufacturing and Value Stream Mapping, on Tuesday,
Nov. 20 in ASMs Room 1064 from 4 5:15 p.m.
The last of the November Executive Speakers Series at ASM will be on Thursday,
Nov. 29 as Patricia Jerabek, a senior consultant with Ibis Consulting Group
and executive director of the Diversity Leadership Council in New Mexico, talks
on Diversity Implementation Issues. Jerabek will give her talk in
ASM Room 1068 from 9:45 10:45 a.m. and again from 12:30 1:30 p.m.
Last year, The Robert O. Anderson School and Graduate Schools of Management
launched The Executive Speaker Series, which brings noted speakers into the
classroom for various topical lectures.
The Executive Speakers Series is an important way for us to share the
resources of The Anderson Schools with business leaders in the community interested
in staying in touch with the latest issues, said Howard L. Smith, Dean.
I am very pleased to see our classrooms opening for the free exchange
of ideas in business.
